PRIMAR Inspector Service

An internet-based service which gives any nation's port state control inspectors real-time access to the status of electronic navigational charts (ENCs) on a vessel has been developed by ECC. Offered by PRIMAR and managed by ECC, this service is currently being used by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate.

The Inspector tool makes it possible to check that the vessel has adequate ENC coverage for its intended voyage. It provides more efficient verification that the electronic charts used on board meet national and international standards. Inspector uses the vessel's IMO number as the primary search term.
